Working on your auto's shine can take some time. Hi I'm
Rebel Hays pleased to meet you, I’ve been painting creating custom auto and
show cars for over 25 years. I find in most cases a show car shine (just the paint work) will have well
over 100 hours in it after its been painted and cleared, believe me its not the
wax that makes it shine. Don’t take me wrong, wax does have its place, but have
you ever went out and bought a car wax thinking it was going to give you that
wet as water look? You know that real flat glass like shine? I think we all
have, I know i did years ago.
You bring it back home after spending $20 to $30 on the
wax's cleaners and rags, You start to apply the wax thinking under that milky
swirl there’s going to a real deep glass like shine, then when you rub off the
wax and sure it has a shine to it but, it just wasn’t what i thought it would
look like. Maybe if i waxed it again, sure it will bring back some color and
remove some oxidation, But a glass like watery shine, Nop, or maybe it looked
good for a 24 hour period then went back to the same just ok shine it had
before. I don’t know about you but that’s allot of time and money spent on just
an ok shine.
